Multiple Projects

One of the strengths of ESITC Caen’s programme is that it includes multiple and diverse projects. Through experiential, technical or managerial projects, engineering students experience the reality of the demands of the professional world: autonomy, initiative, innovation, workplace behavior, sociability, compliance with specifications.

Projects are spread throughout the curriculum, and intensify during the 4th year.
Students participate in transversal, multidisciplinary projects, start-ups or company acquisitions. Here are two examples in broad terms:

The Entrepreneurial Experience Project (PCE)

Over the course of one year, students manage a project and must:

  • Identify priorities, make decisions, anticipate risks, define and meet objectives while optimizing costs, time and quality,
  • Be convincing, a team-builder, know how to delegate and create enthusiasm, make ethical and social choices,
  • Act responsibly and openly with the client in an efficient manner while ensuring the success of the start-up.

The Entrepreneurial Experience Project is a human and technical experience that will facilitate a student’s growth.

Final Project (PFE)

In the last stage of the curriculum students manage a project that prepares them for the real world.
These innovative, 5- to 6-month projects are of wide scope and have strict requirements.  Students are entrusted with real responsibilities and perform a valuable service for the company.  In the majority of cases, the Final Project opens the company’s doors to the future graduate.
