A progressive five-year course

ESITC Caen provides engineering and construction work training for engineers over five years. The preferred and logical entry point to the course (the programme is structured progressively) is in the first year following a scientific secondary school diploma.

However, it is possible to enrol at the college to follow engineering studies after two years of technical higher education or a scientific preparatory course. In addition, some foreign students can join the course in the fourth year to work towards the college’s engineering diploma. Admission

The curricula and study plans are based on two basic principles:
  • keeping up to date with the profession and evolving with its needs
  • training high quality engineers whose potential and adaptability enables them to evolve throughout their careers to secure their desired positions.

The college is constantly adapting its training and study aids in accordance with developments in civil engineering, the requirements of accrediting bodies and teaching methods.

When entering the course in the first or third year, students may choose between two routes depending on their profile, preferences and career plans.

Double diploma route
For those who wish to add a managerial or international dimension to their studies, the ESITC Caen offers the option to obtain the ESITC Caen diploma in the same year as the MBA from the Caen Business and Management school. This also applies to the European Masters, which is taught successively in Spain and Denmark.
International Route
As one of its three majors, the ESITC Caen offers “Engineering with International Business”, one of the prerequisites of which is overseas work experience and modules from the English-language semester. Read more about international opportunities.
Want to continue your studies?
8 out of 10 graduates find employment as soon as they leave the college and 9 out of 10 of them within two months of leaving. However, some are drawn towards obtaining a dual field of expertise and go on to study architecture, enrol at the CHEC [School for Advanced Studies in Construction in Paris], or take a Masters, doctorate or MBA.
